In a bold statement, Fox News host Jesse Watters criticized former President Barack Obama for his inability to see things from an American perspective. This thought-provoking comment was made during Watters’ appearance on “The Five.”

Watters, who recently took over Tucker Carlson’s 8 p.m. time slot, specifically targeted Obama’s viewpoint on the Titan submersible tragedy. Obama had mentioned that the media’s coverage of this incident overshadowed the shipwreck of migrants off Greece, which led to hundreds of deaths. He argued that this inequality in news coverage demonstrated the growing disparity in people’s life chances and posed a threat to democracy.

Although Watters refrained from mentioning false claims about Obama’s birthplace, he hinted at it when stating, “When you are a citizen of the world, you always think about the world instead of the United States.” He emphasized Obama’s diverse background and upbringing in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Hawaii, suggesting that this influenced his lack of focus on an American perspective.

Watters contended that the intense interest in the Titan submersible incident stemmed from its Titanic angle, the perceived suspense, and its proximity to the United States. However, he strongly criticized Obama for not recognizing that as the president of the United States, his primary concern should be the country itself. Watters accused Obama of being naive, detached, and snobby for not understanding this.
