Jamie Foxx faced a lawsuit on Wednesday, accusing him of sexual assault against a patron at a New York rooftop bar in 2015.
The woman, referred to as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, claims that Foxx took her to a secluded area, where he allegedly assaulted her by groping her under her pants and rubbing her breasts without her consent.

According to the legal filing, the woman and a friend were seated next to Foxx and Mark Birnbaum, the bar’s owner. Subsequently, the friend asked Foxx for a photo after which he began complimenting the plaintiff, saying she had a “supermodel body” and looked like Gabrielle Union. Further allegations state that Foxx touched her inappropriately after taking her to a more secluded location.
The lawsuit also holds Birnbaum and Catch NYC responsible, claiming they enabled the assault and failed to properly supervise their employees.
Foxx’s reps did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
