The Kansas City Chiefs put on a spectacular performance in their dominant victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 3. However, amidst all the excitement, Taylor Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium stole the spotlight.
There were rumors circulating about a possible relationship between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Swift. Head coach Andy Reid, known for his sense of humor, concluded his postgame press conference with a witty remark.
“You know what, I’ve actually met her before,” Reid quipped, referring to Swift. “I played matchmaker for them.”
The room erupted in laughter, and a beaming Reid exited. Donovan McNabb, former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, recently interviewed Reid on Outkick’s “The Five Spot” with Donovan McNabb, during which Reid reminisced about his first encounter with the music superstar.

“I actually knew her when she was in Philadelphia. Her dad is a huge NFL fan,” Reid explained in response to McNabb’s question about whether he has become a Swiftie. “I met her when she was very young, along with her dad. So, you could say I jokingly played a role in Kelce’s connection with her… But, you know, it’s just a joke,” Reid chuckled as McNabb joined in laughter.
The accomplished Super Bowl-winning coach also expressed admiration for Swift’s enthusiasm during the games.
“She’s a great girl. She’s really into it, and we’re extremely happy to have her here,” Reid added.

Reid also discussed the Chiefs’ performance. Despite the perception of a lack of talent at the wide receiver position, reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes has continued to excel this season.
