Diablo 4’s Secret Cow Level appears to be more attainable than ever after dedicated players stumble upon a hidden bovine cult. To unveil it, players must eliminate 1,998 innocent cows.
Ever since its launch, Diablo 4 players have been on the hunt for the highly sought-after Secret Cow Level. Despite the developer’s denial of its existence, hunters have remained steadfast in their sacred quest.
Their perseverance seems to have paid off with the release of Diablo 4’s Season of Blood. The recent seasonal update brought a new development in the search for the Secret Cow Level.

YouTuber Grampa Joe has uploaded a video revealing the discovery and usage of three hidden relics connected to the Secret Cow Level. These revelations were made possible by data miners exploring Diablo 4 Season 2.
Initiating the Quest for Diablo 4’s Secret Cow Level
The discovered relics are the Musty Tome, Bloody Wooden Shard, and Intricate Metallic Fragment. To obtain them, players must embark on the challenging task of slaying 666 cows three times across different regions in Diablo 4.
The Musty Tome can drop from cows in Scosglen or Fractured Peaks, the fragment in Dry Steppes, and the shard from cows in Kehjistan or Hawezar. According to players who have engaged in this senseless bovine slaughter, it can take hours to complete.

By obtaining and using these relics at the altar in Ked Bardu, surrounded by Ox statues, players will trigger the appearance of the Strange Key. Thanks to the data miners and Grampa Joe, we now know that this key can be employed to unlock the Forlorn Hovel lying in the eastern region of Cerrigar.
The Hovel is filled with eerily voyeuristic cows that stare at the player and track their every move. The floor is covered in the remains of villagers who may have fallen victim to these malevolent cows.
