I recently went on a 10-day vacation in England, Scotland, and Belgium.
Concerned about the airport chaos this summer, I invested in two AirTags for $29 each to track my luggage.
Someone told me it’s better to travel across Europe with just one piece of luggage, but I couldn’t fathom how that would work.
Admittedly, I tend to overpack, and the idea of fitting everything I needed for a 10-day trip into a single medium-sized suitcase seemed absurd. While I understood the benefits of traveling light – less luggage to worry about and increased mobility – it just wasn’t feasible for me.

I was aware of the risks involved in relying on one large suitcase, a small suitcase, and a backpack for international travel. With the rising incidents of airlines misplacing bags and even pets, I didn’t want to become the next victim.
That’s when AirTags came to my rescue.

Earlier this year, my dad gifted me two $29 Apple AirTags, which I had completely forgotten about until a week before my trip. I retrieved them from my bedside table, paired them with my phone, and discreetly placed one AirTag in each suitcase, securing them between my clothes inside packing cubes.
Navigating airports, especially in unfamiliar countries, can be overwhelming. My vacation involved five flights, a train ride, and several Uber rides.
I made it a habit to regularly check the location of my AirTags upon arriving at a new airport

Upon landing at a new airport, I promptly checked the Find My app on my iPhone to ensure that my bags were in close proximity. This became especially helpful as flights were delayed and baggage arrival was delayed at certain points.
