Pelton used her bonus credit to play an online game and unexpectedly won $100.
“With part of my winnings, I decided to buy Powerball tickets. However, when I saw that the Fantasy 5 jackpot was over $150,000, I couldn’t resist and purchased a few Fantasy 5 tickets as well,” said Pelton.
Several days went by before Pelton remembered to check her numbers.
“When I finally logged into my account, a pop-up appeared, notifying me that I had won a $169,674 Fantasy 5 jackpot prize,” she reminisced. “I had to check my account balance multiple times just to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating!”
Pelton even had to convince her husband that their newfound fortune was real.
“I woke up my husband and showed him the message. He was bewildered and asked who won, to which I yelled, ‘We did!’ We’re still struggling to believe that this is actually happening,” she said.
As for her plans for the winnings, Pelton intends to use them for a vacation and make some investments.
