Android 14 November Update Fixes Device Issues
It appears that Android updates from Google often come with initial issues, and last month’s rollout of Android 14 was no exception. Users who had multiple accounts on their Android devices encountered an “out of space” error, and even worse, some experienced a frustrating reboot loop after updating.
Fortunately, Google has released the November Android update for supported Pixel devices, addressing the bugs that caused these problems. This issue affected a wide range of devices, including the Pixel 6, 6a, 6 Pro, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, and 8 Pro.
In addition to the bug fixes, this update resolves a green flash issue during display off on the Pixel 7 Pro. It also stabilizes NFC functionality, resolves system instability caused by requests for uninstalled apps, prevents desktop icons from disappearing upon unlocking, fixes misaligned wallpapers on devices with notches or hole-punch displays, and addresses screen jerkiness on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro due to touch registration imprecision.
According to Google, the update will be rolled out gradually over the course of a week, varying depending on the carrier and device. The new build numbers are UP1A.231105.001 for Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, and Pixel 5a 5G, UD1A.231105.004 for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and UP1A.231105.003 for all other supported devices.
