“What happened with this box?” asked Tracy Feulner, Spencer’s mother, while pointing at what looked like the shredded end of a box of Entenmann’s chocolate glazed doughnuts.

“Somebody broke in, it wasn’t me,” said a defiant-looking Spencer. “Then a monster attacked me and he gave me a doughnut.”

A laugh track crackled on the segment as his mother grilled him.

“The monster attacked you?” she incredulously said.

“And he gave me a doughnut!” Spencer reiterated.

“America’s Funniest Home Videos” host Alfonso Ribeiro said on the show that judging from Spencer’s quick-thinking reaction, it wasn’t the first time he snuck a snack.

“Spence readily climbs counters (and) uses door pulls as ladders,” Feulner responded in simulcast transmission during the show from their living room. “Whatever he can get.”

“If you win, you’ll have enough money to buy all the doughnuts you can eat,” Ribeiro told a jubilant Spencer.

Feulner and Spencer were joined on a recap reel by brother, Cooper Scott, 13, and father, RJ.

The doughnuts were initially dropped off by a neighbor who also advised them to enter the contest.

“I was not impressed. They were chocolate and this kid does not need any more sugar,” Feulner deadpanned.

Feulner told the Times Union the footage was shot last September as Spencer returned from preschool.

The Feulners frequently film their antics and Spencer is a natural comedic talent.

“This was an impromptu thing,” she said. ‘None of it was planned … he’s always mischievous. I wanted to record this and show his dad.”

The “America’s Funniest Home Videos” crew was a blast to work with, Feulner said.

“They’re patient, kind, communicate well and really make it fun and easy,” she said. “It’s been a great experience. The hardest part has been rearranging our living room.”

“Little doughnut denier” ended up winning a $20,000 cash prize for the Feulners, who will go on to compete for $100.000 should they get bumped into the Top. 3.
