TORONTO – In the final game of a crucial three-game series against the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays all-star shortstop Bo Bichette found himself hitting fourth in the lineup.
Bichette, who leads the Blue Jays with a .301 batting average and is tied with outfielder George Springer for second in runs batted in with 71, was moved from his usual second spot in the order.
“Just trying to get Bo up with guys on base, really,” said Blue Jays manager John Schneider in his office before the game. “He’s one of our best hitters with runners in scoring position.”
