TORONTO – The Cairns Taipans suffered a devastating loss against the Toronto Raptors in a Sunday exhibition game at Scotiabank Arena. The NBA’s Raptors dominated the game with a 134-93 victory, leaving the Taipans struggling to keep up.
The Taipans, a team from the National Basketball League in Australia, couldn’t match the Raptors’ level of play. The Raptors took an early lead with a score of 38-17 after the first quarter and extended it to 71-44 by halftime. In the second half, the Raptors gave their bench players a chance to shine.
