Nintendo has announced that Mario Party 3 will be added to the Nintendo 64 library on Switch Online on October 26.
Originally released in Japan in 2000 and later in the West in 2001, Mario Party 3 is a mini-game collection that introduces Waluigi and Daisy as playable characters and features the series’ first story mode. With six game boards and over 70 mini-games, there’s plenty of fun to be had.

According to Nintendo’s official statement:
Waluigi, known for his appearance in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 (also playable with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership), joins the Mario Party 3 character roster. He brings his mischievous nature to Waluigi’s Island, a board filled with traps and tricks. Additionally, Daisy makes her debut in the Mario Party series as a playable character, adding her unique charm to the competition.
As expected from a Mario Party game, Mario Party 3 offers a wide selection of multiplayer mini-games. With over 70 exciting options, players can jump over clock hands, compete in a pizza-eating race, swing from vines, run in circles, laugh while mixing Toad’s face, or navigate an icy Snowball Summit.
Mario Party 3 introduces the first Story mode in the franchise, allowing players to embark on a quest to become the ultimate Superstar in the universe. The game also features six diverse game boards, Duel mode, new items, and the introduction of Game Guy. With its sophistication and endless fun, Mario Party 3 has something for everyone.
Mario Party 3 will be available to all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, including online play.
In September of last year, Nintendo announced the addition of several Nintendo 64 games to Nintendo Switch Online. However, 1080° Snowboarding has yet to be released.
