We’ve witnessed an array of camouflage-clad Audi prototype vehicles this year, but this particular one is truly unique. While many questions remain unanswered, there are a few things we can discern right off the bat. Firstly, it’s unmistakably an Audi. Secondly, it’s a station wagon. Groundbreaking, indeed.
However, jesting aside, we are quite confident that this belongs to the A6 family. It’s larger than the A4/A5 Avant prototypes we’ve previously observed, and the front end bears a striking resemblance to an A6 E-Tron test vehicle that made an appearance at the Nurburgring back in May. We dubbed it a “high-performance” A6 because, truth be told, Audi’s intentions regarding vehicle nomenclature in its immediate electric future remain somewhat ambiguous. However, we do know that the E-Tron branding will persist as Audi ventures further into the realm of electric vehicles. So, what might this be? An A6 Avant S E-Tron? An S6 Avant E-Tron?
