CEO of daa Kenny Jacobs predicts that transatlantic routes will also be busy this summer, with Chicago, New York, and Boston featuring in the top ten destinations. Meanwhile, Dublin Airport has made several improvements to its terminals, such as 400 additional seats at gates, increased food and drink offerings, and a stronger focus on cleanliness. Mr. Kenny said that at least 90% of passengers are getting through security in under 20 minutes at Dublin Airport. The C3 technology, which eliminates the need for passengers to remove liquids and laptops from hand luggage, has also reduced security wait times. Moreover, Shannon Airport recently recorded its busiest day since 2016 over the June Bank Holiday weekend when 7,800 passengers travelled through the airport.
