DSWD wants one evacuation center per municipality to avoid class disruption

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Monday asked for the establishment of one evacuation center for each municipality across the country so classes in schools will not be interrupted whenever there is a calamity.

During the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) briefing on Typhoon Karding (international name: Noru), DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo explained to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. the importance of such a setup.
