MIAMI — Day’Ron Sharpe has been making waves with his impressive performance in the offseason, training camp, and preseason for the Nets.
In the Nets’ 107-104 victory over the Heat on Wednesday, Sharpe closed out the preseason with an outstanding performance, scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and making three blocks. Notably, his 3-pointer with 1:49 left gave the Nets the lead for good.
In addition to his scoring, Sharpe, who has historically struggled with free throws, showed improvement by making all six of his attempts from the foul line.
Head coach Jacque Vaughn didn’t miss Sharpe’s impressive showing. He praised the young center’s performance, highlighting his free throw shooting and ability to hit clutch shots despite appearing tired.
