‘Cast Members of ‘Below Deck Down Under’ Terminated Due to Misconduct’

Two members of the “Below Deck Down Under” crew were terminated following incidents in episodes six and seven of the second season. In a shocking scene that gained over 92 million views and 146,500 likes, former cast member Luke Jones entered his female colleague’s bed while she was asleep. The incident took place in episode six and spilled over into episode seven, capturing attention from both fans and critics.

The Bravo series, which airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, has been filled with drama throughout the second season. However, this particular scene created a significant buzz. After a night of drinking, Margot Sisson, the third steward, expressed her desire to go to bed and specifically requested to be away from Luke Jones. Aesha Scott, the chief steward, had noticed how Luke was looking at Margot and felt protective of her. Scott tucked Sisson into bed and left the room, but shortly after, Jones entered the room wearing only a towel around his waist and climbed into bed with Sisson. Production intervened and repeatedly asked Jones to leave, but he initially ignored their requests. He then crawled out of Sisson’s bed, exposing himself, and slammed the door in production’s face. Eventually, Jones left the room and returned to his own.

In episode seven, Jones denied any wrongdoing, while Scott checked on Sisson to ensure she was okay. Sisson confirmed that she did not consent to Jones entering her bed and was unaware that he was naked. Scott informed Captain Chambers about the incident, leading to Jones being sent to a hotel for the night and ultimately fired the next day due to his misconduct. Jones apologized to Chambers for his actions. Later, Laura Bileskalne, the second steward, approached Sisson and expressed sympathy for Jones, even stating that she would have welcomed him into her bedroom.

Bileskalne’s behavior on the yacht was also problematic. In episode seven, she attempted to massage deckhand Adam Kodra while he was in bed, despite his previous rejections. After conversing with Bileskalne, Sisson informed Scott that she felt uncomfortable. Scott then reported the situation to Chambers, who ultimately fired Bileskalne.

Following the episode, Sisson took to Instagram to express her gratitude to Scott and other crew members for their support. Bileskalne also apologized to Kodra and Sisson on Instagram, acknowledging her mistake in making him feel uncomfortable. Chambers addressed the situation in a video on Instagram, thanking the production team for their involvement and praising Scott for approaching him genuinely.

“Below Deck” star Captain Lee Rosbach also condemned Jones and Bileskalne’s behavior, describing it as “despicable.” Response from Bravo, 51 Minds Entertainment, and the individuals involved in the incident is currently unavailable.
