Three days after Jada Pinkett Smith made her shocking revelation about her secret separation from her husband, Will Smith, since 2016, her sister-in-law, Patricia ‘Trisha’ Pinkett, has filed for divorce from her husband, Caleeb Pinkett, who is Jada’s half-brother. According to TMZ, the couple, who started dating in 2002 and married in September 2006, legally separated on February 28, 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic. The divorce filing comes after a family outing in February 2022, where Caleeb was pictured with Trisha at Sherman Oaks Castle Park. Trisha has requested spousal support and joint legal and physical custody of their 11-year-old daughter, Caila Koren Pinkett. She also asked the court to terminate the possibility of awarding spousal support to Pinkett. The Pinketts have two adult children, Jade Pinkett, 30, and Jah Pinkett, 24. In September 2020, Jada revealed that both Trisha and Jade were quarantining with her in Calabasas. The Pinkett family has dealt with their fair share of hardships, including their drug-addicted absentee father’s long-held family resentments. Despite their separation, Jada and Will have maintained a strong bond and partnership over the past seven years. Jada shared her commitment to their family and their love for each other, emphasizing their life partnership. She humorously mentioned that in the future, she will be the one taking care of Will as he gets older. Jada has recently embarked on a book signing tour for her memoir, “Worthy,” where she discusses her experiences and life lessons.
