In the efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Blinken is focusing on increasing humanitarian aid, facilitating military operation “pauses” to allow assistance and civilians to enter and exit Gaza, and planning for post-conflict governance and security. However, divisions over the pause concept have emerged, with Israel remaining unconvinced and Arab and Muslim nations calling for an immediate full cease-fire.
