Biden Joins Fundraiser in Silicon Valley Hosted by Billionaire with Ties to Jeffrey Epstein’s Island

President Biden made an appearance at a fundraising event on Monday organized by a prominent tech billionaire who has recently been linked to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s private island. The fundraiser, hosted by LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, aimed to support Biden’s re-election campaign and the Biden Victory Fund. The event took place at the private residence of Shannon Hunt-Scott and Kevin Scott in Los Gatos, California.

In May, The Wall Street Journal reported that Hoffman had visited Little St. James, the Caribbean island owned by Epstein, known for its association with illegal activities and the abuse of underage girls. The report also mentioned that fellow convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell was allegedly involved in these crimes.

The fundraiser also listed Microsoft chief technology officer Kevin Scott as one of the hosts. Another attendee during the same time Hoffman visited Epstein’s island was Joi Ito, the former director of MIT Media Lab, who confirmed Hoffman’s trip to the Journal. According to Ito, Hoffman attended the event at his request to raise funds for MIT. Ito later apologized for his own visit to the island, but Hoffman has not publicly addressed the matter.

The report mentioned that Hoffman and Epstein had plans to return to the island in November 2014, followed by a trip to Boston. The purpose of these planned trips remains unclear. Additionally, Hoffman intended to stay at Epstein’s luxury Manhattan townhouse in December 2014 after arriving late in New York City.

Hoffman disclosed that his last interaction with Epstein was in 2015 when he invited Epstein to a dinner with tech industry leaders in Silicon Valley. In September of the same year, Hoffman attended a state dinner hosted by then-Vice President Biden at the White House in honor of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Following Epstein’s arrest in 2019, Joi Ito resigned from his position at MIT. Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

President Biden’s presence at the Silicon Valley fundraiser is part of his active campaign schedule in California, with four events taking place in the San Francisco area. During one of the fundraisers, Biden emphasized the importance of the 2024 election for safeguarding democracy and highlighted his administration’s efforts to instill confidence in the Constitution among voters.
