Sega has announced a thrilling new 3D action-platformer called Sonic Dream Team, which will be exclusively available on Apple Arcade.
Set to launch on December 5, 2023, Sonic Dream Team will take players on a wild ride as Sonic and his friends traverse 12 levels and four worlds in order to prevent Dr. Eggman’s peculiar dreams from becoming a reality. In addition to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, Rouge the Bat and Cream the Rabbit will also make a return as playable characters.
While it’s worth noting that some Apple Arcade exclusives have eventually made their way to other platforms in the past, according to Sonic Stadium, Sega titles on Apple devices haven’t had the best track record, with games like HARDlight’s Sonic Racing and Chu Chu Rocket! Universe (which is now unavailable) remaining exclusive to this platform.
Nevertheless, some sources online argue that this deal “only prevents the release on other mobile platforms”.
