Galaxy S23 Sales Outshine Galaxy S22 Sales by a Wide Margin
According to data from Hana Securities, a reputable financial consulting firm (source: Twitter), the cumulative sales of the Galaxy S23 series over the past eight months have reached a staggering 22.89 million units. When we break down this figure for the individual models, the Galaxy S23 alone accounts for 8.09 million units, with the Galaxy S23+ selling 4.11 million units. The highest-priced model in the lineup, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, achieved remarkable sales of 10.69 million units. In total, the Galaxy S23 series outsold the Galaxy S22 series by an impressive 22% during this eight-month period.

In an effort to boost sales of its foldable devices, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, sales have not met expectations. According to the report, the combined sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 only reached 3.51 million units (2.26 million for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and 1.25 million for the Galaxy Z Fold 5). This represents a slight decrease from the cumulative sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 (2.28 million) and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (1.35 million), which amounted to 3.63 million units. While the latest foldable phones from Samsung experienced a surge in sales during their launch, it appears that momentum fizzled out afterwards.
