Dave Chappelle passionately condemns Israel’s bombing of Gaza in a powerful comedy show (Exclusive Report) – The Hollywood Reporter

Dave Chappelle allegedly stirred controversy during his recent Boston comedy tour stop by criticizing Israel’s bombing of Gaza.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Chappelle initially condemned the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas during his show at TD Garden, but he later went on to criticize Israel and accuse the United States of aiding in the killing of innocent people.

Chappelle’s comments about the Israel-Hamas war came after he expressed support for students not losing job offers due to their support for Palestinians. Some members of the audience responded by telling him to “shut up,” prompting Chappelle to engage with them.

The comedian then allegedly criticized the Israeli government for cutting off essential items, including water, to Gaza and accused them of killing innocent civilians.

According to attendees, some audience members cheered and shouted “Free Palestine” in response to Chappelle’s comments, while others raised concerns about Hamas.

Chappelle reportedly concluded his show by saying “two wrongs don’t make a right” in reference to Israeli policies and Hamas attacks.

A spokesperson for Chappelle denied his presence in Boston that night, although the schedule on TD Garden’s website confirms his scheduled shows for Oct. 19 and 20. The Hollywood Reporter is also seeking clarification from Chappelle and TD Garden representatives.
