Britney Spears Reflects on Her Party Years in New Memoir
The forthcoming memoir, ‘The Woman in Me,’ by pop singer Britney Spears sheds light on her partying phase and sets the record straight on her wild reputation. Contrary to the media’s portrayal, Spears reveals that her outings with Paris Hilton during her tumultuous marriage to Kevin Federline in 2006 were relatively mild.
In the book, Spears addresses common misconceptions, asserting that she never had a drinking problem and had no interest in hard drugs. Instead, her “drug of choice” was the ADHD medication, Adderall, which provided temporary relief from her depression.
Spears’ close friend, Paris Hilton, shared her account of an encounter that led to the iconic paparazzi shot of Spears and Lindsay Lohan together. According to Hilton, she and Spears had intended to leave a friend’s party at the Beverly Hills Hotel when Lohan approached their car. Despite her strained relationship with Lohan, Hilton remained cordial under the watchful gaze of the cameras.
Recently, Hilton expressed admiration for Spears’ courageous decision to share her story. Drawing from her own experience writing a memoir, Hilton empathizes with Spears and hopes that the book proves to be a healing and empowering journey.
Spears’ debut memoir, ‘The Woman in Me,’ published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, is available for pre-order and will hit bookshelves on October 24th. In an exclusive interview via email, Spears expresses her relief at finally having the opportunity to tell her own story and take control of her narrative.
