Bodycote Expands American Presence with Two Acquisitions
- Bodycote Agrees to Acquire Lake City HT and Stack Metallurgical Group
- Both Companies Supply Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) Technology
- Takeovers to Expand Bodycote’s Specialist Technologies Arm
Bodycote is expanding its presence in the US with the acquisition of two companies for $145 million (£119 million).
As the world’s largest thermal processing services provider, Bodycote aims to grow its specialist technologies division through these takeovers.
The deals were finalized last Friday to purchase Lake City HT, located in the small city of Warsaw, Indiana, and Stack Metallurgical Group (SMG), which serves customers in the Pacific Northwest region.
