Early Friday morning, a tragic incident occurred in an unincorporated area near Inglewood, resulting in the death of a 49-year-old man. Authorities were alerted to the scene on West 105th Street, near Western Avenue, in response to a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered the victim, Idrissa Simpson, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Tragically, Simpson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
In an effort to gather information and evidence, six individuals were detained and questioned as potential witnesses. Additionally, deputies detained two vehicles matching the descriptions provided by witnesses who observed these vehicles leaving the scene. At this time, law enforcement officials have not identified a suspect or linked a specific vehicle to the fatal shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
