The couple shares three children, a noteworthy fact considering that Musk also has twins with another woman. In fact, Musk has a total of ten living children, including five with his ex-wife. Recent drama unfolded between Grimes and Shivon Zilis, an executive at one of Musk’s companies. However, Grimes later downplayed the situation, claiming that everything was fine. Nevertheless, on Friday, Grimes filed a “petition to establish parental relationship” against Musk, as reported by Pitchfork.
According to Insider, such petitions are commonly filed in cases where parents are unmarried, seeking legal recognition of their parentage, or pursuing custody and child support. It remains unclear why Grimes filed the petition, as she has not requested custody or child support at this time. Speculation from Vanity Fair suggests that she may be attempting to navigate her co-parenting relationship with Musk. As of now, Musk has not commented on the filing. During the aforementioned drama with Zilis, Grimes accused Musk of preventing her from seeing her son.
