A criminal complaint alleges that an 18-year-old victim was sexually assaulted on August 26. While Morris was not named in the report, he was suspended from the program as a result.
“We have been made aware of his arrest and charges, and we have decided to dismiss him from the program,” stated Kansas coach Bill Self. “As this is an ongoing legal matter, we are unable to provide further comments at this time.”
No attorney has been listed for Morris, and he does not have a publicly available phone number.

Morris transferred to Kansas while facing a misdemeanor assault charge in Texas. He played his freshman season for the Longhorns. The Frisco Police department reported that officers were called to his ex-girlfriend’s house, where she alleged that he grabbed her arm, pulled her off a bed, and caused an injury to her neck.
Morris, 20, was scheduled for a jury trial next week in that case, but it was canceled when he entered a no contest plea to a Class C charge and was ordered to pay a $362 fine.
