Transforming my Healing Journey: How My Home Played a Vital Role in My Cancer Recovery

A tech entrepreneur believes her Waterford seaside house played a vital role in her recovery from cancer. Fiona Dowd, along with her husband John, built their six-bedroom split-level bungalow in 2003. A breast cancer diagnosis in 2008, followed by a recurrence in 2014, led Dowd to find solace and healing in the 4,305 sq ft property situated on the edge of Creadon Bay. Dowd attributes her successful recovery to the house’s serene and private setting by the sea. With an asking price of €2.995m, the couple has decided to downsize and sell the property through estate agent RE/MAX.
