In a shocking incident, a 51-year-old man has allegedly attacked his own mother, causing life-threatening injuries. The incident took place at her residence in San Jacinto, and the suspect is currently on the loose. Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating him.
“An extensive search for Carlos was conducted, but he was not found,” said Sgt. Anthony Pelato.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the assault happened around 9 a.m. on a Wednesday morning in the 300 block of North Kirby Street. The victim, whose identity has been withheld, immediately called 911 for help and identified her son as the assailant.
Deputies and paramedics arrived promptly and provided necessary medical attention to the victim. She was then transported to a nearby trauma center, where she underwent emergency surgery. As of now, she remains in critical condition.
The motive behind the attack has not been disclosed by the authorities.
Efforts to locate the suspect have been ongoing, with an arrest warrant obtained within a day. Detectives are currently still working to find the suspect.
The suspect, Pasqual Carlos, is described as around 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, with recent photographs showing him with a mustache.
“Carlos is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is advised against any direct contact,” stated Sgt. Pelato.
