Court documents obtained by Insider revealed that surveillance footage captured LaPere entering her apartment building around 10:30 p.m. that Friday. Shortly after, the footage showed Billingsley approaching her and the two entering an elevator together.
About thirty minutes later, the same footage depicted Billingsley leaving the building and wiping his hands on his shorts, leading authorities to suspect his involvement.
