“God has a bigger plan,” Blackburn wrote on his Instagram Stories.
During their game earlier this month, Blackburn and Hunter were involved in a controversial incident. Blackburn delivered a late hit to Hunter after a pass meant for him went over his head, resulting in Hunter being hospitalized with a lacerated spleen.
“It’s football at the end of the day. Stuff like that is going to happen,” Hunter said in an interview with Bleacher Report. “You just have to get up and keep fighting. Luckily, the doctors intervened because if they weren’t there, I would still be playing.”
