Aug. 13 (UPI) — Zak Williams, the 40-year-old son of Robin Williams, commemorated the ninth anniversary of the iconic comedian’s passing with a heartfelt message on Instagram.
“Dad, on the 9th anniversary of your passing, I’m reminiscing about your impeccable fashion choices. These days are always difficult, and I cherish the memories of you being true to yourself. Love you so much!” Williams captioned a photo of his father sporting a pair of busy patterned shorts and a T-shirt, energetically waving a racket at fans from a tennis court.
The late Robin Williams, an Oscar-winning comedian, tragically took his own life at the age of 63 on August 11, 2014, after battling privately with depression, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease.
He was renowned for his stand-up comedy and unforgettable performances in timeless films such as Popeye, Aladdin, Dead Poets Society, The Fisher King, Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, The Birdcage, Good Will Hunting, and the Night at the Museum series.
