Report: ‘Days of Our Lives’ Co-Executive Producer Albert Alarr to Depart Following Cast Petition and Investigation

Days of Our Lives co-executive producer and director Albert Alarr is reportedly departing the long-running soap opera following a cast-signed petition demanding his removal amid a misconduct investigation. In an email obtained by Fox News Digital from executive producer Ken Corday, the cast and crew were informed of Alarr’s immediate replacement by Janet Drucker as co-executive producer of the show. Corday also announced the implementation of new HR protocols and an increased HR presence on set to ensure a safe and inclusive workplace environment. Despite Alarr’s exit, production will continue as scheduled, and viewers can expect uninterrupted new episodes. The cast’s petition for new leadership originated after Alarr faced investigation for alleged misconduct by Sony Pictures Television, the show’s distributor. On social media, “Days of Our Lives” alum Lisa Rinna expressed support for the cast’s petition and called on the show’s producers to protect their talent. Rinna, who played Billie Reed from 1992 to 1995 and returned for Peacock’s “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem” in 2021, had previously voiced her concerns about the work environment during her recent appearance on the show.
