Reseda Resident Faces Federal Drug and Ammunition Charges

A 34-year-old ex-convict, who authorities claim is affiliated with a racially motivated violent extremist group, has been charged with federal drug and ammunition offenses arising from a search warrant executed at his residence in Reseda.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has accused Ryan Scott Bradford of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and possessing ammunition as a convicted felon.

He has been ordered to remain in custody until his arraignment on August 11th in federal court.

During the search, FBI agents, DEA agents, and LAPD officers seized 116 rounds of ammunition, firearm parts, and two 3D printers, one of which was adorned with swastikas. Streets in the area were temporarily closed when an apparent improvised explosive device was found. This operation was conducted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Bradford is alleged to be prohibited from possessing ammunition due to a burglary conviction in 2012.

The search warrant, executed near the intersection of White Oak Avenue and Saticoy Street, is part of an ongoing investigation, according to Laura Eimiller from the FBI.

U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada stated, “The potential danger to the community cannot be overstated. We will continue to investigate this matter to ensure that this defendant is held accountable for his crimes and to keep our community safe from acts of violence motivated by racist and hateful ideology.”

An affidavit submitted with the complaint alleges that law enforcement discovered items consistent with Bradford’s online posts regarding his violent extremist ideology and his intention to harm Jews.

The affidavit further alleges that Bradford left an Amazon review for a 3D printer motherboard, which included a photo of his left hand displaying a tattoo on his index finger reading “Hate.” It is believed that he operates an account on an instant messaging service in which he made threats related to “killing Jews.”
