Hutch, originally hailing from Kitchner, a small city in Ontario, Canada, experienced life in Rivers Inlet, British Columbia, intermittently for a period of two years, as disclosed to Insider. This petite village consisted of a tight-knit group of nine individuals, each residing in homes constructed solely on floating logs.

Upon joining the community in April 2021, Hutch and her boyfriend, Jonathan Brakefield, took on the task of transforming the properties into what is now known as Finn Bay Lodge. The duo relocated to this remote floating village due to Brakefield’s previous experience working at a different fishing lodge in the area, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Although Hutch didn’t reside in Rivers Inlet for the entire two years, alternating between there and her second home in Torio, Panama, every few months, she cherished her time on the water. She documented her entire experience on TikTok, where she has amassed a following of 39,000 and shared insights about life in the Inlet.

Furthermore, during the COVID pandemic, Hutch revealed that residing in a remote and tranquil location like Rivers Inlet felt more secure and comforting compared to living in a bustling city.
